So apparently, Voyager I might have possibly reached the edge of the  solar system. The top image shows the amount of galactic radiation that the spacecraft is interacting with. Notice the increase in the amount of interaction with these cosmic rays, which could possibly be due to the spacecraft’s leaving the protective covering that is the heliopause created by the interactions of the Sun and the interstellar medium.

The second image shows the amount of charged particles that have been bombarding Voyager I. These particles would tend to emanate from the Sun’s solar wind. So the results, at least to me, would seem to suggest that Voyager I is no longer under much influence of the Sun and instead the interstellar medium.

Pretty cool stuff. I think. Haha.
